Art Therapy in School Based Health Clinic
- Participants will learn about the use of Art Therapy with school aged youth.
- Participants will learn to use art to express their feelings about working with youth today.
- Participants will learn directives they can use on their own or with clients.
- Participants will engage in and recharge in an expressive arts activity as they experience collaboration in the room.
Maps of the Heart
- Participants will learn about the use of Art Therapy with non native English speakers.
- Participants will elaborate on Maps as metaphors.
- Participants will learn tools they can use when working with their clients.
Doll Circle Workshop
Casting a Circle has been used for ages to establish safe and sacred space. Sewing in a circle has been used by women over the years as a means of productively working together in a social and supportive atmosphere. Doll making is a creative process that facilitates personal/spiritual expression.
- Women will create a circle to talk about life transitions.
- Women will feel safe to play, explore, reveal and awaken.
- Women will make a doll that is symbolic of where they are on their life journey.
